Why this newsletter?
I am an avid reader of books on technology, history, business, economics, psychology, investing, and tech, and subscribe to many related blogs.
But my wife often asks me,
"What was this book about?"
It's only then that I pull from the memory area of my cerebral cortex what I've recently put in there and try to summarize it for her.
I have many fleeting thoughts, but they are ultimately just thoughts, not actions.
Although I maintain a habit of reading consistently, what I read is often too flash to retain.
Since it is difficult to remember, what is the meaning of investing so much time in it? I struggle with this as well.
As time passes, I notice a trend: I get more "progress" and "memories" at work than in my home life. This is largely due to the fact that I initiate one-on-one interactions with my boss and coworkers, and we spend almost 8 hours a day communicating together.
I also learned about the importance of "feedback" in a GeekPlux Lab article. Without feedback, reading books and blogs is like throwing stones into stagnant water.
From my background knowledge, I realize that the underlying logic of AI is now based on "feedback"!
So, I decided to start newsletter.
Aiming to chronicle our progress through reading to authors, maintaining a journal for personal reflection, engaging in one-on-one discussions at work with colleagues and leaders, and distributing newsletters to our community and readers.
The learning method advocated by the famous physicist and Nobel Prize winner Feynman is a feedback process, organizing, reviewing, simplifying, and outputting (to a "little friend").
Only in this way will the books we read and the paths we travel leave an impression on our minds.
Why subscribe?
My thoughts on these relate to investment decisions, life philosophy, work, family, problem analysis, system building, software productivity, product design, and company business models.
